Comparative and functional genomic analysis of vegetables
Scope
Vegetables provide rich nutrients for human beings and play a very important role in our daily life. With the development of sequencing technology and the continuous reduction of sequencing cost, more and more vegetables have completed or are undergoing genome sequencing. In particular, the quality of genomes has been improved markedly due to the widely used of third-generation sequencing and Hi-C technology in recent years. Moreover, pan-genome researches also have been performed in several vegetable crops recently. The availability of these genomes provides valuable resources for comparative and functional genomic studies in vegetables. Therefore, we organized this special issue to collect relevant research articles to make full use of these omics data resources and promote the application of omics data in vegetable crop research.
This special issue will mainly collect articles from the following aspects, but not limited to these aspects.
● Gene family analysis at a large-scale level or verified experimentally;
● Comparative genomics analysis of multiple species;
● Genome sequencing or pan-genomic analysis;
● Population evolution and GWAS analysis based on genome resequencing;
● Mining key genes of important agronomic traits based on transcriptome and experimental validation;
● Construction of gene regulatory networks of complex agronomic traits based on RNA-seq or expression datasets;
● Omics data resource database, pipeline or tool that can promote the study of vegetables.
